Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 6, 2025

Overview

This privacy policy applies to the Pulsoro app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Hominyx (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Pulsoro measures heart-related metrics using your device camera and lets you keep a personal record of them. The Application is a wellness and informational tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide diagnosis or treatment, and must not be relied upon for medical decisions.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Information you provide

For a better experience, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to age, gender, weight, height, number of workouts per week, and whether you have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. This information will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.

Health measurements

When you take a measurement, the Application processes camera signal data on your device to calculate results such as heart rate and related indicators, and stores those results together with their timestamps so you can see your history. Camera frames are processed for the measurement only and are not recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Communications

The Service Provider may contact you from time to time to provide important information, required notices, and marketing promotions. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting the Service Provider.

Apple Health (HealthKit) Integration

The Application can integrate with Apple Health through Apple's HealthKit framework. This integration is entirely optional — it is only enabled after you explicitly grant permission in the system dialog, and the Application works fully without it.

What the Application reads

If you grant read access, the Application may read health data from Apple Health solely to display it to you and to enrich your personal history and insights. Depending on the permissions you approve, this may include:

What the Application writes

If you grant write access, measurements you take in the Application (such as heart rate results) may be saved back to Apple Health so that your data stays in one place. You can disable writing at any time.

How Apple Health data is handled

You are always in control. You can review, change, or revoke Pulsoro's Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Pulsoro, or in the Health app → Sharing → Apps. Revoking access stops any further reading or writing immediately.

AI-Powered Extended Analysis

The Application offers an optional Extended Analysis feature. When — and only when — you tap to request it, the Application sends a snapshot of your health metrics to a third-party AI provider, which returns a written interpretation of those metrics. The feature is never triggered automatically, in the background, or on a schedule.

What is sent

Each request may include:

Requests are sent without your name, email address, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or account identifiers. The AI provider receives only the metrics needed for the analysis.

Retention and training

Extended Analysis is generated by an AI system. It is an informational wellness summary, not a medical diagnosis, opinion, or treatment recommendation. Never use it to make medical decisions — always consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Legal Basis and Sensitive Data

Health data is treated as a special category of personal data under the GDPR (Article 9) and as sensitive personal information under other privacy laws. The Service Provider processes it only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you grant Health permissions, enter health information in the Application, or accept the consent screen for AI-Powered Extended Analysis. Consent for each of these is requested separately; accepting one does not enable the others.

Other information is processed on the basis of the performance of a contract (providing the Application and your subscription), the Service Provider's legitimate interests (securing and improving the Application), and your consent where required by law.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application. Health data — including data obtained from Apple Health — is excluded from all analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, and marketing services. The single exception is the AI provider that powers Extended Analysis, which acts only on your explicit request.

The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies:

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

The Service Provider does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

International Data Transfers

The Service Provider and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in, including in the United States and the European Union. This includes the AI provider that powers Extended Analysis, whose servers may be located outside your country.

Where personal data — including health data submitted for Extended Analysis — is transferred outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, contact the Service Provider at hominyx.dev@gmail.com. Requests are answered within the period required by applicable law, and in any case within 30 days.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.

You can also stop specific processing without uninstalling: revoke Health permissions in iOS Settings, turn off AI-Powered Extended Analysis in the Application's settings, disable tracking permissions for the Application, or unsubscribe from marketing emails.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Data read from Apple Health is retained only for as long as it is needed to display your history and insights, and is deleted when you revoke access and request deletion, or when you delete the Application.

Data submitted for AI-Powered Extended Analysis is processed ephemerally: the Service Provider does not store the request or the generated analysis on its servers. Any analysis you choose to keep is stored locally on your device.

If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data, please contact them at hominyx.dev@gmail.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country, where that age is higher).

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, it will immediately delete this from their servers.

If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

Data transmitted between the Application, the Service Provider's servers, and the AI provider is encrypted in transit using TLS. Health data obtained from Apple Health is stored on your device, protected by the device's built-in encryption, and is only accessible while the device is unlocked; it is transmitted off the device only when you request an Extended Analysis.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. Apple Health data is processed only after you give separate, explicit permission, and it is shared with the AI provider only after you separately accept AI-Powered Extended Analysis.
